More snowy sounds
The Met office are forecasting heavy snow tonight, particularly in the North West, so remember to have a good listen this evening and then again in the morning to hear some of the amazing effects that the snow has on your soundscape.
Sound is affecting, physiologically and psychologically; from the calming trickle of a lazy brook to the violent battery of the industrial machine.Yet we rarely consider these laws of sonic science, so locked into our visually dominant society we forget to respect the sound that brings our vision to life.
By exploring the often forgotton sonic environment, Envirosonic attempts to understand the effects that sound has on our bodies, the role that it plays in our culture, and the sonic politics that govern our lives.
